Cost vs Value vs Sustainability: the challenges and opportunities for operators of IRCs and their supply chain

Integrated Retirement Communities are complex developments. Not only do they need to offer supportive and stylish homes for older people but through their design and lifetime operation must offer a sustainable model for the operator. As IRC operators take on the long-term risk of managing their communities and with construction costs remaining high – how can the sector continue to evolve to the changing sustainability needs of customers, investors, and the government?

At this exclusive roundtable kindly hosted by Hansgrohe at their Water Studio in London, ARCO Members, partners and stakeholders are invited to come together to discuss the current challenges and opportunities to deliver sustainable IRCs that are future proofed for both customer and operator.

Topics for discussion will include:

• Meeting investor and customer needs – what are they looking for, how has this changed and how can IRCs deliver?
• Are there any quick wins for IRC operators when it comes to sustainability? What tried and tested methods can the sector learn and benefit from?
• What is the impact of sustainability on the supply chain and how can operators balance the value of sustainability with cost?
