Trafford Housing Trust – Independent Living
Working with older people, we see the loneliness, isolation and poor quality services many endure. By putting the individual in control of their care and support we want to give people the peace of mind that they can access a trusted service able to meet their individual needs. We strive to help older and vulnerable people feel connected, confident and safe, making a valuable contribution to the community in which they belong. The services we offer include an Adaptations Service, Extra Care Schemes with a domiciliary care service and personal care element being available within the scheme alongside the manager, Sheltered Housing and our award winning TrustCall service with tailor made packages of support that enables peace of mind for both the individual and their family.
We are committed to improving the well-being of our customers enabling them to take part in a wide range of social activities that encourage social and community involvement and our approach to coproduction underpins this aim by promoting ‘Working Together for Change’, and the 5 ways to wellbeing which sits within the Scheme Managers role. A further aim of the Trust’s Independent Living is to develop a more holistic approach based on the principles of personalisation, providing timely and quality information and advice, creating opportunities to improve people’s social lives, offering practical help around the home and support that can respond in a crisis all contribute to the prevention agenda.
Our purpose and vision is to give older and vulnerable people the place in society they deserve, we enable people to live the life they choose and do the things they value.
